The Queen Consort's son has broken his silence on claims that Camilla played an "end game" to become Queen, insisting she "just married the person she loved".
Tom Parker Bowles, 48, speaking on The News Agents podcast, said: "I think change happens but I don’t care what anyone says – this wasn't any sort of end game.
"She married the person she loved and this is what happened."
It comes just months after Mr Parker Bowles' stepbrother, the Duke of Sussex, made a number of claims about his stepmother Camilla in his memoir, Spare, branding her "dangerous" and writing how she played "the long game", with a campaign aimed at marriage and "the crown".

The food writer and critic, 48, was also asked if his mother will be anxious ahead of the coronation ceremony on 6 May at Westminster. He told podcast hosts Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel: "I think anyone would be anxious on an occasion of this sort of importance in terms of the historical. And yes, I think I'd be terrified if I had to sort of walk out wearing ancient robes…
"She's 75, but you know, it's tough to do it. But she's never complained. You just do it, get on with it."
Tom's 13-year-old son, Freddy, whom he shares with his former wife, Sara Buys, has been given a starring role as one of Camilla's Pages of Honour at the ceremony.
Camilla's twin grandsons, Gus and Louis Lopes, who are Laura and Harry Lopes' children will also be pages.

Last week, Buckingham Palace finally confirmed Prince Harry's attendance at his father's coronation, but that his wife, Meghan, will remain in California with their young children, Prince Archie, who turns four on the day of the coronation, and one-year-old Princess Lilibet.
