Prince George will step into the spotlight at his grandfather King Charles's coronation in May.

The nine-year-old – Prince William and Princess Kate's eldest child – has been named as one of Charles’s Pages of Honour, alongside Camilla's grandsons, Gus and Louis Lopes, and Freddy Parker Bowles.

The Prince's public appearances have increased in recent years, including at a Thanksgiving service for Prince Philip last March and at Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations last year. Watch George and his siblings arrive for the 2022 Trooping the Colour in our video below...

And the young heir could have another high-profile event on the horizon.

It was announced at the weekend that George's godfather, the Duke of Westminster, is engaged to be married.

Hugh Grosvenor, who is Prince William’s close friend, will wed his girlfriend of two years, Miss Olivia Henson.

The couple became engaged at Hugh’s family home at Eaton Hall, Cheshire, and shared their happy news on Saturday, along with a lovely photo of the newly-engaged couple taken at Eaton Estate.

Hugh, 32, succeeded his father to become the Duke of Westminster in 2016, inheriting the title and estate of his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor. He was just 25 at the time. In 2023, Bloomberg estimated his net worth of approximately £9.42 billion, making him one of the wealthiest men in Britain.

No doubt the wedding will be a lavish affair, with a who's who of top society figures on the guest list.  But it will also likely be incredibly private.

Despite his family's vast wealth and their royal connections – as well as his role as Prince George's godfather, Hugh's mother is Prince William's godmother - he prefers to keep his private life out of the spotlight.

As such, Prince George may well be invited to take on a role at the wedding; he has acted as a page boy on a number of occasions, including at aunt Pippa Middleton's nuptials, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding and for Princess Eugenie.

Hugh is the third child of Gerald and his wife Natalia Phillips; and has three sisters, Lady Tamara, 42, who is married to one of William's best friends, Edward van Cutsem, and Lady Edwina, 41, who is married to TV presenter and historian Dan Snow, and 29-year-old Lady Viola.

Hugh and his sisters were all educated at a local state primary school – unusual for the children of hereditary peers – before attending a small private day school near the family home Eaton Hall, and then Ellesmere College.
