Prince Albert's eldest son, Alexandre Grimaldi, has revealed his plans to move to the US from London in a rare interview.
The 20-year-old, whose mother is former flight attendant Nicole Coste, has spent the last 13 years living in Knightsbridge and has attended Royal Holloway for the past year.
Appearing on the cover for Tatler's December 2023 issue, Alexandre speaks of his future in New York where he plans to study business or international relations at NYU or Fordham in January.
"I feel I've outgrown [London]. Coming to New York is better for me to grow as a person, to be independent. This is the first time I'm moving out by myself.
"My mum understands that it's necessary. Even though I'm her last child and she has that feeling that the last one's leaving, she understands that it’s important for me to be independent," he says.
Alexandre was born on 24 August 2003 in Paris, during Albert's secret five-year-relationship with Alexandre's mother, Nicole.
His parentage was made public by Nicole in a Paris Match interview in 2005, two months after Albert became head of Monaco.
Albert is also father to Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, born in 1992, with real estate agent Tamara Rotolo.
She was confirmed as Prince Albert's daughter in 2006 when she was almost 16 years old. He had previously said he wanted to protect her identity until she was an adult.

Neither Jazmin nor Alexandre are in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne as their parents never married.
Alexandre also opens up about his close relationship with his father and his siblings. As well as Jazmin, Alexandre has two older brothers from his mother's side, as well as his half-siblings from Prince Albert's marriage to Princess Charlene – Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.
He says: "We are all very close…We actually have a text message group. We’re having arguments about who’s better: Erling Haaland or Mbappé. My sister’s more Team Mbappé, but it’s more Haaland on the boys’ side. I like both."
And of his father Albert, Alexandre discloses: "With my dad it’s good, we’re starting to see each other a lot more. During the holiday season, we are spending a lot of time together. It’s a very good relationship."
