Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not used their official Sussex Royal Instagram account since they announced their departure from the royal family back in 2020.
The couple's last post to their over 9 million followers was shared on 30 March of that year and at the time, Harry and Meghan explained to their fans that despite their departure, they hoped to be "reconnecting" with them "soon".
The couple have yet to establish a joint social media account as of date, but the Duchess did set up her own account back in June 2022.
@Meghan was launched over a year ago and despite having more than 127,000 followers, it’s yet to share a post or even follow anyone. However, some of Meghan's friends have been following the account for a while, including Mandaya Dayani and Malala Yousafzai.
In this week’s episode of A Right Royal Podcast in partnership with True Royalty TV, Harry and Meghan: The Next Chapter, which you can listen to below, HELLO!’s royal editor, Emily Nash, reveals what the Duchess’ plans are for her new Instagram account and why she decided to set one up.

Also in this week’s hour-long episode, Emily explains the truth behind reports that the couple are looking to move from Montecito to Los Angeles as well as what we can expect next for the duo, such as their new Netflix film, which is yet to start production.
"We heard about this earlier in the year but there has been a little something called writer's strike going on for the last several months. And of course, no progress has been made as a result," Emily tells co-hosts Andrea Caamano and Emmy Griffiths.
Also in the episode, the trio talk at length with David Wiseman, Director of the Invictus Games Foundation and good friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who shares everything from meeting the Princes at Sandhurst to spending time with the couple in Montecito.
David also regrettably details his biggest mishap with the couple – and it involves Meghan making her very first public speech as a Duchess.
