Royal family recap: Princess Kate surprises delighted 94-year-old with visit to her home after taking the bus

It's a bit of a rainy day here in London, but luckily we've got an exciting royal agenda in store to brighten things up. 

There will be an investiture at Windsor Castle this morning, while Princess Anne has several outings in London, including a gala at the British Museum. 

Meanwhile, in Europe, state visits are continuing, as President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte continue their stay in Spain, while there's also one from Finland to Luxembourg.

Our Royal Editor, Emily Nash, also revealed last night that Prince Harry is not scheduled to take part in any high-profile events for Remembrance Day. We'll have more on this very shortly...

Here's the latest on Prince Harry - by our Royal Editor, Emily Nash. 

The Duke of Sussex will not be taking part in any high-profile events to mark Remembrance Day this year, following anticipation after his return to the UK. 

"He's not going to do anything that would pull focus from the Royal Family or the national commemorations at the Cenotaph in London," says a friend. 

"More likely, he'll mark it in the same way that most veterans do, privately, either at church or at their local war memorial's annual service."

Instead, Harry, who served two tours of duty in Afghanistan during a decade in the army, will mark the day privately. 

He continued to mark the day since moving to the US in 2020, but has not taken part in National Remembrance Sunday events since November 2019.

Queen Rania and her daughter, Princess Iman, have enjoyed a mother-daughter day out. 

It comes after Iman, who is the eldest daughter of Rania and King Abdullah, celebrated her 30th milestone birthday, looking every inch her mother's double. 

On Monday, Queen Rania launched the fourth edition of Amman Design Week (ADW) on Tuesday at the Ras El Ain Hangar in Amman, ahead of the opening to visitors this Friday.

Rania, 56, looked absolutely incredible in a black leather jacket, which is unlike royal outfits we usually get to see. 

The flattering cropped design looked so chic, while Princess Iman also looked so stunning in a black suit.

The event will run from October 2 through October 17, with all exhibitions and programs free and open to the public.

International paparazzi who were seen looking into the grounds of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's school have been branded "extraordinarily reckless" and accused of an "unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children", the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s spokesman has said.

Two young men with backpacks and using a white van are understood to have been spotted by private security and school staff walking the perimeter to the school and monitoring children.

A spokesman for Prince Harry And Meghan called the actions "an extraordinary lack of judgment" in the wake of the suspected terror plot near RAF Fairford, with a number of American children with families connected to the base said to attend the school. 

"The decision by photographers to conduct themselves in this way around a school is extraordinarily reckless," the Team Sussex spokesman said.

The Princess of Wales has stepped out in Sussex for a surprise outing. 

Kate, 44, is visiting West Sussex Minibus, a volunteer-led community transport organisation, which acts as a vital lifeline for people who cannot easily access public transport due to isolation, mobility challenges, or financial barriers.

We're waiting for a close-up picture of her look, but the royal appears to be sporting an elegant high ponytail and a grey coat.

Details of the visit were not released in advance and came just one day after Kate joined her husband, Prince William, for an outing to Leeds Rhinos. 

West Sussex Minibus, which celebrates 50 years of its service this year, is an all-volunteer community transport organisation supporting people living in rural West Sussex. 

Established in response to the decline of rural public transport, the organisation has grown from a single volunteer-led minibus service into a community transport network operating from eight village hubs, supported by 284 volunteers and a fleet of 11 minibuses.

After arriving in Pullborough, the Princess boarded a minibus and met volunteers Kay and Terri. 

She then picked up 94-year-old Stella, a regular user of West Sussex Minibus, at her bungalow. 

Mrs Drewett was told of her VIP guest shortly beforehand and said: "I couldn’t quite believe it. I am quite a new member. It’s a great service. I used to drive myself until I decided to spare the other road users. 

"Everyone said to me, 'but what are you going to do now?' And I did think, 'oh gosh, what am I going to do now?'

"But they take me to the supermarket once a week, and we go down to the village hall for the lunch club. It’s a very valuable service. It’s wonderful."

The minibus then picked up two more passengers.

The Princess of Wales has, time and time again, shown us how she nails walking in heels. 

And she made such an elegant arrival on Wednesday morning for her visit to the West Sussex minibus. 

I was particularly impressed by the moment she descended the stairs of the minibus while wearing her classic stiletto heels!

Kate appears to be wearing the Jigsaw Wool Maxi City Coat in charcoal. The shade makes this a versatile piece, and the length is practical as well as stylish. 

The rest of her outfit comprised a pussy bow blouse, grey trousers and burgundy heels. 

The mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis kept her makeup minimal, which highlighted her beautiful features.

The Princess’ first stop of the morning was at the bungalow of Stella Drewett, 94, a former school cook, to pick her up for the minibus.

Meghan Markle has been making full use of Soho Farmhouse since she returned to the UK with her family last month, and it seems that the Duchess of Sussex is loving their Pilates classes, which have been favoured by celebrities?

But what are the classes actually like? Well, one attendee has told HELLO! that those who go can expect an "incredibly intimate" experience, with no photos allowed inside. It'll also be a fairly small class, with only "10-12 beds per class".

The no photos rule will help to relax the A-list clientele, with the source telling HELLO! about those that they've seen visiting over the years. They said: "I have seen so many A-listers: Brad Pitt, Ellen DeGeneres - who is obviously a local - Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh - they couldn't be more loved up."

Although Prince Harry has been back in the country for a month, he still hasn't met with his father since his return. This doesn't mean that the pair have become estranged once again, as HELLO! understands that there have been phone conversations.

On top of this, sicne Harry's return, Charles has actually spent much of the time in Scotland for his summer break, and he has had a packed schedule since his return to royal duties.

The Sussexes are living in a non-royal residence in the Cotswolds, and have been spotted at local hotspots including the Falkland Arms and Soho Farmhouse in Great Tew.

Earl Charles Spencer recently released his book on the late Princess of Wales, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister. In the memoir, he writes extensively about his late sister, who died in 1997, while also levying a series of explosive accusations against King Charles, who was married to Diana between 1981 and 1996.

The claims in the book have divided the nation, and it also appears that Earl Spencer's surviving sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, 71, and Lady Jane Fellowes, 69, are unlikely to be impressed.

"I should think they'll be pretty annoyed because it just brings up their sister yet again," royal author Ingrid Seward exclusively told HELLO!. "Next year is the 30th anniversary of her death, so there's bound to be another big fuss, which I'm sure they won't like."

She continued: "They just don't get involved, for self-preservation. They've never said anything, only occasionally giving the odd quote to a proper Diana memorial book, published shortly after her death. Otherwise they don't, and I think that's the way they're going to keep it."

There has been plenty of speculation about Meghan Markle's future career since she returned to the UK with her family. There have been reports that Meghan is looking to return to acting, with Netflix supposedly eyeing up for a role in The Gentlemen.

Meghan recently parted ways with talent agent Ari Emanuel and when he was asked about her future prospects, he didn't hold back. "Here's the great thing: I don't have to think about that any more," he bluntly said.
