Prince William is the eldest son of Charles and his first wife Diana, Princess of Wales. In his early life, he grew up at Kensington Palace with his younger brother Prince Harry, where he still keeps his London office.
William married The Princess of Wales, née Kate Middleton, in a grand royal wedding at Westminster Abbey in April 2011. He is the proud father of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The family are based in Windsor, having moved out of London in 2022, although William still carries out many engagements in the capital.
Upon the death of his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and the new reign of his father King Charles III, William became the Duke of Cornwall and the new Prince of Wales in September 2022.
His charity work and engagements are primarily centred on the environment (he launched The Earthshot Prize in 2020), mental health, homelessness, sports, and the armed forces.
