With no fewer than five films due for a 2004 release, busy Australian actress Naomi Watts is surely enjoying her winter holidays. And what better way to spend the festive period than relaxing alongside her hunky beau Heath Ledger, enjoying the sunny skies and balmy weather of Down Under.
Though there had been rumours of a split a few months ago, Heath and Naomi were very much an item as they strolled hand in hand while shopping at the popular coastal market in Byron Bay. Both wearing hats, cool shades and flip-flops – and stopping to share the occasional embrace – the two looked like any young couple enjoying a sun-filled Christmas, Aussie style.
With its markets and scenic beaches, Byron Bay, located 175 kilometres south of Brisbane, provided the perfect romantic backdrop for the on-off pair. The location offers plenty of options – if Naomi and Heath need a break from shopping, an exciting afternoon of surfing or a relaxing day trip to one of the many nearby historical towns might be in order.
