As the warmer season winds down to a close, Hollywood couple Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford are wrapping up their European summer jaunt, which has taken them from the canals of Wales to the sunny islands of Greece.
This week, the celebrity lovebirds, accompanied by Calista's son Liam, looked like any casually-dressed touring family as they explored Barcelona, Spain. The happy threesome wandered the streets, map in hand, checking out the local attractions of the elegant but vibrant coastal city.
Alluring sightseeing spots for the two may have included the cobbled streets of the Gothic quarter, the colourful Rambla, a boulevard lined with vendors' stalls, or the bustling beachside Olympic Marina - established for the 1992 Games - which features over 40 bars and restaurants. One don't-miss location is Gaudi's Sagrada Familia cathedral, perhaps the most famous of the many ornate buildings designed by the legendary architect which make a stroll through Barcelona particularly memorable.
Of course, despite the fact Calista and Harrison's visit to the cosmopolitan hotspot was a family outing, there was certainly no shortage of romance. When the Indiana Jones star wasn't guiding little Liam's pushchair – or double-checking the map to make sure they were on the right track – he had another mission: stealing kisses from his Ally McBeal girlfriend.
After an adventurous summer, the pair are both ready to get back to work. After a two-year break from the spotlight, Calista, whose Fragile is shooting in Barcelona, will hit the big screen in The Last Shot in the coming months. Meanwhile, Harrison will be filming The Wrong Element in western Canada later this autumn.
