Although there was plenty of affection on display as Paris Hilton and her fiancé Paris Latsis took a break at his father's place just outside Athens, the couple's vacation was no lazy, romantic idyll.
The pair, who are staying at Gregory Latsis' coastal spread, are sharing an action-packed time with American party girl and travel show presenter Tara Reid. By day the threesome have been spotted larking around on the water, jet skiing, riding a high speed banana boat and joint paragliding, while by night they have teamed up to hit some of the Greek capital's top night spots.
Their base for the Aegean break is a rambling, white-washed home owned by the Greek heir's dad, a former a water-ski instructor who runs a large water-sports school. And the bethrothed couple's presence would seem to lay to rest rumours that Gregory, who is divorced from his son's mother Marianna, was initially not thrilled by news of the couple's engagement.
Describing The Hilton heiress as a "very pretty girl" Gregory, who joined the pair on some of their excursions, says his only reservation is his son's youth. “The only problem we have is that Paris is 22. It would be better to think about it seriously before he starts a family, because having a family is a very serious matter, especially in Greece. Our advice to him is always the same: whatever you do, you have to be careful and cautious." But he adds: "Paris is absolutely happy. When I see him that happy, that makes me happy too.”
While no date has been set for the wedding, which will be the first trip down the aisle for both, the pair have made no secret of the strength of their feelings for one another. "I'm so in love and grateful to have found such an honest and loyal person," enthused the Simple Life star at the time of her engagement. "I feel like we were meant to be and I'm happy to have found someone to spend the rest of my life with."
