Kimberley and family chill on Australia's Gold Coast

On her last appearance in public, Kimberley Davies was seen in agony after cracking her ribs on the TV reality show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. But as she enjoyed a relaxing day out with her daughter Isabella, toddler son Joshua and husband Jason Harvey at a theme park on Australia's Gold Coast the trials of the jungle challenge seemed to be behind her.

Basking in the warm sunshine, the family were taking in the sights of Seaworld, just 80 kilometres south of Brisbane.

During her rainforest sojourn, the Victoria-born former Neighbours actress endured close encounters with all manner of creepy crawlies. So she will have been pleased that her only contact with animals on this occasion was limited to helping three-year-old Isabella pet a friendly dolphin.

The water-orientated attraction is only one of six theme parks the soap star could have visited in the area. The sun-soaked Gold Coast north of Sydney epitomises the traditional Aussie lifestyle of fun and adventure, with its numerous outdoor activity options such as surfing and rock climbing.

In nearby Springbrook National Park visitors Down Under can take an eco-tour to watch glow-worms under the stars or see kangaroos, kookaburras and koalas in their natural habitat. For those who prefer a more leisurely holiday, there are ample opportunities for world-class golfing or simply lazing about on the miles of beach.

Meanwhile, the suburbs of Biggera Waters, Broadbeach and Coolangatta are home to the region's largest shopping complexes, where those with a gold card to flex, can pick up the latest designs, quality Australian jewellery or authentic Aboriginal art.
