Showing he still has the appeal which thrust him into the limelight nearly three decades ago, Harrison Ford charmed Sydney when he stepped out with attractive partner Calista Flockhart. Hundreds of screaming fans greeted the 63-year-old Hollywood heavyweight at the Australian premiere of his new flick Firewall.
"It's been a while. It's good to be back," said the action star, who has announced plans to reprise his role as gun-slinging hero Indiana Jones in a fourth outing.
Some 12 years have passed since the actor's last trip, so this time around he was making the most of his time by visiting some of the city's top attractions. Apart from admiring its spectacular harbour - which is home to the renowned Opera House and Sydney Habour Bridge - Harrison, Calista and the Ally McBeal star's five-year-old adopted son, Liam, also took in the sights of Taronga Zoo.
The three spent the day making friends with some of the animals, which include koala bears, saltwater crocodiles and a wombat called Abdul. They may also have found time for a stroll along the city's popular Darling Harbour waterfront, with its cafes, museums and shops.
And if the power couple were minded to go further afield, the vast country has plenty more to offer. In the centre of the country is stunning Ayer's Rock. Uluru, as Aboriginal native people call the geological wonder, can appear to change colour, turning from blue to violet and red, depending on the light.
Other fascinating sights include the Twelve Apostles - a line of statuesque rock formations just off the coast - as well as some of the world's finest national parks.
