They tied the knot last March, but it seems Willem Dafoe and Giada Cologrande are still very much in their honeymoon phase. The loved-up couple have been holidaying in Dubrovnik, feted as the new Riviera, looking the picture of happiness. Taking an evening stroll around the beautiful Old Town, Willem and his Italian wife made a stop at the famous Troubadour Hard Jazz café, a popular place for an after-dinner drink. And the famous Spider Man actor made some new Croat friends when he gamely posed for photos at the atmospheric music hangout.

The historic walled city offers not only offers a buzzing nightlife, but the perfect combination of cultural delights and sandy beaches on the Lapad peninsula. An Adriatic gem, Dubrovnik is one of the hottest destinations around as visitors re-discover its medieval charms and stunning landscape.

Treasures to be found by the bustling harbour include the Rector's Palace, the seat of the government in the old republic and a Dominican monastery whose museum contains an 11th-century Bible.

Atlas Club Nautika is the city's most renowned restaurant. The eatery is the perfect spot for visiting A-listers who want to savour both the fantastic local seafood and scenic views of the Dalmatian coast. Diners, who have in the past included Roger Moore and Pope John Paul II, love to feast on fresh scampi and shrimp on the fabulous terrace. As for a place to lay their head, Hollywood stars could enjoy the renaissance-inspired surrounds of the Pucic Palace.
