The island of Majorca received an influx of high-profile visitors this week as the Spanish royals touched down on Wednesday and Eva Herzigova took to the waves for some summer fun.

Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos arrived in the Balearic hotspot for their annual holiday at the Marivent Palace – their summer residence just outside the capital Palma. Despite the heat, the royal pair kept up appearances in smart suits as they stepped off their plane. Both keen sailors, the royal pair may find themselves bumping into another familiar face, that of supermodel Eva, at Portals Nous where the jet-set moor their yachts.

The Czech beauty was creating waves there this week at the opening of the Breitling Regatta where she launched a new yacht. Dressed for the occasion in traditional nautical colours of navy and white, Eva was also sporting a polka-dot mini-skirt that showed off her endless legs.

With its beautiful coastline, sailing regattas and luxury hotels, Majorca has long been a playground of the rich and famous. Spanish tennis pro Rafael Nadal lives there, while Michael Douglas and Michael Schumacher both own fabulous holiday pads.
