While promoting a new film can be exhausting, one consolation are the more exotic locations on the tour agenda.
Tom Cruise, currently criss-crossing the globe with Nazi-thriller Valkyrie, made the most of being in Brazil ahead of the film's Rio de Janeiro premiere, by spending time on one of the country's legendary beaches with wife Katie Holmes and their little girl Suri.
The family arrived at the weekend and, as the movie isn't due to open until Tuesday, took the opportunity to unwind with a trip to the beach. The laidback outing must have been a welcome one for Katie, too, whose stint on Broadway with All My Sons ended last month.
Looking like any other parents with a young family, the pair spent their time entertaining and larking around with two-year-old Suri.
According to a local newspaper there was more sightseeing planned for Monday, before the pair hit the red carpet together for Tuesday's screening.
