Located in the heights of Hong Kong's International Commerce Centre, (the ICC) – between floors 102 and 118 – the new Ritz-Carlton is, quite literally, the peak of luxury and flies the flag as a leader in contemporary lifestyle and excellence in the great metropolis.

The sophisticated modern interiors designed by LTW of Singapore are complemented by stunning views of Victoria Harbour and the iconic Hong Kong skyline. Even the smallest of the guest rooms is 50 square metres, but the magnificent Ritz-Carlton Suite is no less than 365 square metres and includes living and dining areas, and personalised butler service. Naturally, the state-of-the-art hotel facilities include all the latest technology – wifi, iPod docking stations, blu-ray DVD players and flat screen televisions even in the bathrooms!

The hotel's six restaurants have been designed by some of the most prestigious names in the world, including Spin Design Studio and Wonderwall of Japan. On the 102nd floor alone there are three dining options: the Tin Lung Heen, serving fine Cantonese cuisine, Tosca, with its stylish open kitchen where dishes from southern Italy are prepared, and the modern Lounge & Bar, with stunning chandelier-style glass chimney pieces.

On floor 103 there's The Chocolate Library, while Pastry Gems, a delightful patisserie, is located in the arrival lobby. The crowning glory, though, is Ozone, right at the top, on the 118th floor: boasting the highest outdoor terrace in the world, the sleek lines and modern style of this restaurant and bar are worthy of its status as the new landmark on Hong Kong's dining scene.

For those who wish to relax, the Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA offers all the delights of a high-class urban sanctuary some 490 metres above the bustle. Located on floor 116, with floor-to-ceiling windows, the haven includes nine deluxe treatment rooms and two couples' suites. There's a fitness centre, too, and an infinity pool that overlooks the harbour, not to mention the 930 square metre ballroom, which is one of the largest in the city.
