Football legend David Beckham recently announced his transfer to French football team Paris St-Germain, so it's only a matter of time before his fashion designer wife Victoria will be hitting the City of Light for wonderful weekends with the Beckham brood.
In a press conference held to confirm the move, the 37-year-old made it clear that his family were staying in London. "Victoria and the kids will be living in London, the boys go to school there now. But this is a very exciting thing for the whole family." While the stylish mum-of-four loves the California lifestyle, she's sure to be charmed by the breathtakingly beautiful and romantic city – and the plethora of shops and boutiques at her fingertips.
The 38-year-old is certain to be at home with exclusive stores like Louis Vuitton, Guerlain and Hugo Boss on the horse-chestnut tree-lined Avenue des Champs-Elysees. And although the family's relocation is apparently due to David’s sporting career, it may be down to Victoria's need to be closer to her London-based fashion label.
Juggling the responsibilities of motherhood, along with the transatlantic responsibilities that had her "up in the middle of the night having conference calls with her staff across the Pond" proved too much. Now she is set to have the best of both worlds – close to her design studio in Battersea – as well as the wonderful Parisian boutiques of Chanel, Hermes and Balenciaga, which line the quaint streets of Rue St Honore and Rue Faubourg St Honore, where Kim and Kanye were recently spotted shopping during their stay for Paris Fashion Week.
David's move comes after the stylish couple's recent relocation to London after living the American dream in Los Angeles for five years. The Beckhams made the leap back to the British capital with their four children Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, ten, Cruz, seven, and 17-month-old Harper, taking up residence in Kensington.
