Prince Harry and his new girlfriend Cressida Bonas, 24, headed to the slopes in Verbier, Switzerland last week. There, they joined Harry's uncle Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York and their two daughters Princess Beatrice, 24 and Princess Eugenie, 22, who were all celebrating Andrew's 53rd birthday.A spot of skiing and time out in a luxurious seven-bedroom holiday chalet, complete with a terrace overlooking the spectacular snow-capped Swiss Alps, were also on the agenda for the family and the girls' cousin Harry, 28, and Burberry model and dance student Cressida.
The charming chalet, which comes with a costly price tag of £22,000 a week, would comfortably fit the six-strong party in its seven bedrooms, one of which comes complete with its own en-suite and is draped in fur throws. After a day on the slopes – where Harry made a rare public show of affection by embracing Cressida during a day's skiing at the resort – the group could relax in charming style in the wood-cladded lounge, surrounded by antiques and works of art while eating afternoon tea and cakes that were provided by the property's on-site chef. More luxury was on offer in the shape of the ski lodge's very own 650 ft square heated indoor swimming pool, complete with a sauna, bar and floor-to-ceiling windows providing unrivalled mountain views.
Located in one of the most exclusive and remote parts of the upmarket Swiss ski resort of Verbier, the stunning vistas were certainly enjoyed with a glass of champagne in hand during the royal party's week-long stay, when they reportedly threw lots of parties. Prince Andrew, ex-wife Sarah and their daughters travel to the same resort every year for the family's annual ski trip and to celebrate the Queen's son's birthday.
Former skiing instructor Cressida, who is a close friend of Eugenie and celebrated her 24th birthday the day before Andrew, was introduced to her new boyfriend through the York sisters, with whom she has been friends for years.Harry and Cressida met in May and this was the first holiday that they have enjoyed together.
