Victoria's Secret angel Karlie Kloss enjoyed an ever-so-fashionable Paris break at the weekend, when the model took to the runway dressed in Versace couture, enjoyed her first ever runway show from the front row and explored the city's highlights – including the world famous Eiffel tower.
And the 21-year-old shared it all with her social media fans, posting a series of pictures on Twitter. She embraced "#selfiesunday with @ladygaga", sharing a photograph of herself with the popstar and Donatella's muse, who was captured taking a snap of the pair. She also shared some snaps of herself at work, including when she was strutting the catwalk wrapped in a fur cobalt blue coat dress. "Atelier @versace Haute Couture Spring 2014 @ Paris" she tweeted.
And the model shared a snap of herself getting ready for the runway – with smokey eyes and a pout – alongside famous British make-up artist Pat McGrath. "Backstage at @Versace with the legendary @patmcgrathreal" she wrote.
Karlie also sat in the audience for once – where she joined Will Smith and rapper Kendrick Lamar on the front row on Saturday night – for her first ever runway show. "It was an honor to attend the @Dior homme show yesterday in Paris. It was my very first time watching a runway show!...Merci Beaucoup @Dior” she tweeted next to a black and white shot of herself looking stunning in an elegant white sleeveless dress.
And of course the former ballerina found time to take in some of Paris's top sights. "Bonjour tout le monde @ Tour Eiffel" she tweeted to announce her arrival in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week, revealing a snap of Paris's famous tower.
Karlie's glamorous weekend came just days after she enjoyed "the adventure of a lifetime" in Burma, where she rang in the new year. The fascinating country in South East Asia, the Union of Myanmar, to give it its official name, is ruled by the longest-lasting military dictatorship in the world.
With tourism already on the rise, the Victoria's Secret angel made even more of us want to discover the unknown gem, sharing photographs of some of the country's must-visit destinations. On her trip, Karlie visited Shwedagon Pagoda, considered one of the most sacred Buddhist pagodas (towers) by the Burmese, the ancient city of Bagan situated in the Mandalay region and breathtaking freshwater lake, Inle Lake.
Tourism began to trickle there for the first time in 20 years in 2011, when politician Aung San Suu Kyi declared that she wanted foreign travellers to visit Burma.
Before arriving in Paris for the whirlwind weekend, Karlie was clearly nostalgic, tweeting a snap from her travels, "#FlashbackFriday to the adventure of a lifetime... @ Bagan, Myanmar."
