Inside Kate Middleton and Prince William's paradise resort in Maldives

March 12, 2014

Prince William and Kate Middleton are enjoying five-star luxury in Maldives ahead of their three-week royal tour in Australia and New Zealand. And the royal couple are relaxing in the utmost of style in the newly opened five-star Cheval Blanc Randheli Resort, according to reports.

It's easy to see why the new royal parents chose to take a romantic break – they left Prince George at home with their new nanny to have some time alone – here in the northwest of the Maldives archipelago, where Noonu Atoll reveals a preserved and exclusive exotic oasis far from the cameras.

Opened just last November, this luxury resort offers breathtaking vistas of the Indian Ocean from every one of its 45 villas, miles of wonderfully private white sandy beaches, a luxury spa offering a range of treatments and massages specially created for the Maldives and a host of activities including sailing, diving and dolphin encounters – all tailored for you by the in-house alchemists.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are understood to be unwinding in a large two-bedroom island villa which boasts a 41-foot infinity pool, private sun deck and a haven of modern sophistication with luxurious amenities. A four-night stay at the Cheval Blanc reportedly costs around £6,000.The culinary experience is in keeping with the five-star luxury of this paradise. Four restaurants cater for all of the very special guests' tastes and mean you needn't step off the island.

Fine dining can be found in the luxury Le 1947 restaurant at weekends only, Diptyque is a Japanese-Spanish fusion, the White bar and restaurant offers great food in a relaxed lounge atmosphere overlooking the pool and Deelani, situated on the main jetty, is where you'll find fresh seafood and Asiatic flavours.

The Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy property is the second Cheval Blanc Maison in the world – the other is in Courchevel, France – and is reachable by a 40-minute private mini jet journey from North Male.
