Having spent Christmas in snowy Iceland, Beyoncé Knowles and her husband Jay Z headed to Southeast Asia to get their 2015 travels off to a flying start. According to snaps shared online, it seems the power couple have taken time out of their busy schedule to unwind and explore Thailand, Cambodia and Burma, also known as Myanmar. Naturally, queen Bey has been keeping her fans updated with their idyllic winter getaway, posting a series of photographs on Instagram of herself, the region's famous temples, exotic landscapes and Buddhist monks dressed in their traditional robes.

Beyoncé swapped her stage show-stoppers for holiday chic as she donned a shawl-like dress, vibrant coloured prints and loose trousers for her travel album – further fuelling rumours that the 33-year-old is pregnant with her second child.
Beyoncé shared a snap of one of the famous temples of the regionA large hat shaded her face from the sun and some pictures show a red bandana keeping her curly tresses in check. The star couple made their way to Bagan in central Burma, also known as Myanmar, on their trip – one of the world's greatest archeological sites featuring dozens of temples rising up from a 26 square-mile lush green plain set against a mountainous backdrop.
Queen Bey poses at the entrance to a historic templeMany of the breathtaking temples, which were built by the kings of Bagan between 1057 and 1287, contain frescoes, carvings and statues of Buddha – Beyoncé captured one statue through the lens and shared the impressive sight with her 23.8 million followers. According to reports, the loved-up pair even took a bike tour, enjoying the historical sights with a tour group.

One snap that showed the Knowles-Carter clan look on as a tiger cub is fed milk from a bottle at a Thai theme park received criticism from fans, as well as from animal rights organisation World Animal Protection. Beyoncé's elephant ride during the trip also came under criticism.
