Kim Kardashian and Kanye West looked ice cool on a ski break in Utah. The queen of reality TV shared pictures of the power couple posing on the slopes in some seriously fashionable winter gear.The key to Kim's look was a trendy faux fur-lined Moncler jacket along with a huge helmet worn at the insistence of her friends.

"My friends made me wear a helmet & I wasn't happy about it," she joked on Twitter. "But I feel it's more safe & I'm into it if you can't tell. "She explained that the gang of gal pals are her best friends from childhood and they'd told her not to tag them for the sake of their privacy. The trip which involved eight couples comes after the Wests enjoyed a night out with Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z – one of the first occasions they've been seen together since the Carters missed Kim and Kanye's wedding.

At the time no explanation was given for their friends' absence. Asked about it Kanye said his only concern was that Kim made it. His wife recently spoke about their bond saying they are "kind of obsessed with each other" and "always support" the other. "We are absolute best friends; we know every last thing about each other," Kim added. "We know our goals are to make each other's lives really happy, and I think we know how to do that."
