The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, ScotlandWe know they're not celebrities, but we had to include this five-star golf resort and spa overlooking the famous links courses, the stunning West Sands Beach and the beautiful Scottish coastline, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stayed in October while on their visit to their favourite Scottish region.

The Carlyle, New YorkChris Martin was spotted arriving at the swanky Carlyle Hotel on Upper Madison Avenue, Manhattan, with actress Annabelle Wallis, and Miranda Kerr also prepped for New York Fashion Week here. But it's no surprise that this New York landmark has famous faces constantly passing through reception - it has a long-standing history of hosting A-listers including Victoria Beckham, Mick Jagger and Tom Cruise. It was also a favourite of the late Princess Diana.
