Royal enthusiasts across the nation will get the opportunity to join the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations over the coming weeks. Even if you've missed out on a ticket to the official celebrations at Windsor Castle, a number of fun family events have been planned across the UK to mark the milestone day in right royal style.

Enjoy a royal break in Windsor:

Many of Her Majesty's official birthday celebrations are set to take place in Windsor, making it the perfect destination for a mini-break fit for a Queen. Enjoy a stroll along The Queen's Walkway, set to be opened by the monarch on her milestone day, and take in the sights that this historic town has to offer.

Make sure you stay at the MacDonald Windsor Hotel in the heart of the historic town. This residence sits opposite Windsor Castle, which will play host to four nights of festivities attended by the royal family in May.

From £122 B&B based on two guests sharing a room, windsor.gov.uk.

Have a truly English celebration at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire:

Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace will host a day of celebrations to coincide with the Patron's Lunch on 12 June. As well as watching a live stream of the festivities from The Mall on a big screen, guests will be entertained by a live brass band and cricket matches, while toasting the monarch with Champagne and Pimms.

Be a royal for a day at Lee Valley Park Farm, Essex:

Lee Valley

Let little ones live like a royal for the day with an outing to Lee Valley Park Farm on 12 June. With face painting, a fancy dress competition and lots of farmyard animals to see, it’s set to be a fun day out for all the family to enjoy.

Adults £9.50, children/concessions £8.50, under twos free. Lvfarms.co.uk.

Take a trip back in time, Blackpool:

Blackpool

Head to Blackpool on 11 June and you'll be transported back to the 1930s for a retro afternoon tea to commemorate the Queen's special day. Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours will guide you around the sites of the seaside town in a 1930s tramcar before arriving at Fleetwood, where afternoon tea will be served.

The day out will culminate with a glass of Prosecco – a perfect way to toast the monarch.

Price £15 per person. Blackpooltransport.com/services/heritage-trams.

Enjoy a Big Birthday Tea Party in the Isle of Wight:

ShanklinChine

Shanklin Chine, the Isle of Wight's oldest attraction, will celebrate the Queen's milestone day with a Big Birthday Tea Party on 12 June. The tree lined gorge will play host to a full day of celebrations in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice, while at night it will be transformed with hundreds of lights illuminating the narrow paths, streams and waterfalls for a stunning scene.
