Barack and Michelle Obama are enjoying their time out of the spotlight, and it seems they can always rely on their friend Richard Branson to get them into proper holiday mode. A new video has emerged on Twitter, showing the Obamas looking completely relaxed and refreshed during their stay in the British Virgin Islands.
The former US President and First Lady were spotted walking along the beach, with Richard following closely behind. Barack, 55, was his cool self in a T-shirt, shorts, sunglasses and a cap that he wore backwards while his wife Michelle, 53, looked beach chic in shorts, a top, a kaftan and a straw hat.

The couple waved to fans who called out to them and wished them a good holiday. "Thank you so much, thank you," Barack replied, giving a friendly wave back. The group appeared to be heading towards Richard's helicopter, presumably to take them back to his privately owned Moskito Island, which the Obamas have been using as their base.

Other photos that have surfaced online showed the power couple enjoying a relaxing, alfresco lunch with Richard and his daughter Holly. The stars appeared to be spending some time on Anegada island, situated close to Richard's private Necker Island and Moskito Island.

The Obamas are on the second week of their holiday following Donald Trump's inauguration last month. They began their two-week break in Palm Springs, where they were joined by their teenage daughters Malia, 18, and Sasha, 15. Michelle and Barack then carried on to the Caribbean.
Despite being on holiday, the politician has remained true to his word of being vocal if he saw "core issues" under threat from the Trump presidency. On Monday, Barack responded to Trump's travel ban, by giving his support to protestors who had taken to the streets and stationed themselves at airports.

A statement released by his spokesperson Kevin Lewis read: "President Obama is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country. In his final official speech as president, he spoke about the important role of citizens and how all Americans have a responsibility to be the guardians of our democracy – not just during an election but every day."
It added: "With regard to comparisons to President Obama's foreign policy decisions, as we've heard before, the president fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion."
