The huge land will feature a boat ride through a bioluminescent rainforest, along with the Avatar Flight of Passage, a virtual reality experience for which each rider is scanned to create a custom avatar and takes a flight atop a banshee, with scent, touch and taste to make the ride even more realistic.
Pandora - the world of Avatar opens this summer
The film's director James Cameron took Whoopi Goldberg on the tour of the new land for US talk show The View, with the actress saying she had never seen anything like the re-created world of Pandora. James admitted it was incredible to see his vision reimagined as a destination that families would be able to enjoy for years to come: "This is a place. And you can go there and walk around and see creatures and see a Na'vi and fly on a banshee. It is a bit of a trip that this was just an idea in 1995, and then it became a movie, and now it's a land."

James Cameron shared a behind-the-scenes tour of the new land
He added: "It's not a ride; it's a land. You know you've arrived when you've done a land." As for what makes the world of Pandora so realistic? "We have a mixture of earth plants and then we have the exotic Pandoran foilage that's sculpted by sculptors... it really gives the illusion that it's a real ecosystem. You're on Pandora, everywhere you look," he said. Anyone fancy a trip to Florida?!
