Catherine Zeta-Jones has become the envy of fans after sharing photos from her trip to China. The 47-year-old is enjoying an "adventure" during her getaway, exploring landmarks including the Great Wall of China and Beijing. After her arrival on Thursday, Catherine got over any jetlag with some traditional Chinese tea, and told fans: "My first shot from China. Ready for some adventure."

The actress has already seen her lot during her first 24 hours in the country and took to Instagram to share a photo of herself posing next to the Great Wall of China, describing the iconic landmark as "breathtaking". The photo was well received by fans, many of whom commented on how envious they were of Catherine's trip. "You are so lucky," one wrote. Another commented: "One fine day, I'll be there."

Catherine has already paid a visit to a "gorgeous" traditional Chinese temple, and also shared a snap of the breakfast she had ordered to fuel her for a busy day of touring Beijing on Friday. As well as tucking into continental treats including fruit and pain au chocolat, Catherine revealed she intended to sample some local delicacies too. "My Beijing breakfast. Just to start…" she wrote. "Have now ordered an omelette, pain-au-chocolate and some noodles. Fuel for a fun day."

It appears that while Catherine is exploring China, her husband Michael Douglas has taken their son Dylan, 16, on holiday to the Dominican Republic. The Basic Instinct star shared photos from the holiday on his Facebook page, revealing that he and Dylan had been playing golf at the luxurious Playa Grande resort during their "'boys' spring break holiday". Michael also shared a photo of Dylan sitting on the stunning sandy beach as he waited for a surfing lesson. Meanwhile Catherine and Michael's daughter Carys, 13, is enjoying a tropical getaway of her own as she has joined friends in Turks & Caicos. The teenager certainly seems enamoured with the holiday destination; sharing a photo from the beach on Instagram, Carys wrote: "Hey New York, I think we should see other people…"
