Cheryl and Liam Payne welcomed their first baby - a little boy - on Wednesday. The delighted mum posted an announcemnt on Instagram on Saturday night, telling fans their bundle of joy has changed their lives forever. And as new mum Cheryl bathes in the joy of her adorable arrival, we're taking a look at the places she, Liam and their new son will no doubt be visiting in their home area of Surrey, where the couple are basing themselves. From NCT classes to meeting fellow new mums and shopping at the local boutiques, Cheryl won't be short of baby-friendly activities in the local area of Woking, where Liam bought a lavish five-bed mansion in January 2015.

Cheryl moved into the £5.1million property shortly before Christmas, and it is already kitted out with almost everything the couple could want, including a heated outdoor swimming pool, all-weather tennis court, cinema and ballet studio. However as Cheryl has previously expressed her desire to be a hands-on mum – writing in the Girls Aloud autobiography Dreams That Glitter that the idea of being a mother is "what life is about" – we're sure she'll be keen to get out and about with her baby. Here are some ideas of where she could hangout.

NCT group

Cheryl could join her local NCT group to meet fellow new mums and babies. At Woking's YPOD centre there is a Baby Café meeting every Monday morning from 10.00-12.00pm, where she will be able to chat to other mums and health visitors over tea or coffee. See more at nct.org.uk/branches/woking.

Buggyfit workouts

For a fun way to be more active with her little one, Cheryl could head to nearby Guildford for a local Buggyfit class. As well as providing the perfect opportunity for Cheryl to meet other mums, she will be able to lunge, squat and crunch her way back to fitness in the picturesque setting of Stoke Park. Find your nearest class at Buggyfit.co.uk.

Go for a stroll in Oxshott

The nearby village of Oxshott is the perfect location for Cheryl and Liam to go for a scenic walk with their baby and pet dogs. They would be in good company; Andy Murray and his wife Kim live in the area with their daughter Sophia, while Frankie Bridge also lives nearby with husband Wayne and their two sons.

Aquatots

Although Cheryl and Liam already have a heated outdoor swimming pool at their home, enrolling their baby at a local Aquatots class will provide their little one with invaluable water skills and confidence while interacting with other babies of a similar age. Check out courses in your area at aquatots.com.

Browse baby clothes at Trotters

Cheryl has reportedly taken inspiration from the Duchess of Cambridge by ordering a Silver Cross pram similar to the one Kate used for her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Should she also wish to dress her baby like the young royals, the singer could pay a visit to Trotters childrenswear store in Guildford. Both George and Charlotte have been pictured wearing clothes from the British brand, and we're sure Cheryl's little one would also be a great ambassador for the label.

Enjoy a date night with Liam at a fine dining restaurant

Cheryl and Liam are likely to have a legion of willing babysitters on hand to help them with their newborn, so should they have a rare night out in the coming months we're sure they'd love to indulge in some fine dining at The Latymer restaurant at nearby Pennyhill Park. This country hotel and spa has already played host to celebrities including Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright, along with Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman and Justin Timberlake, making the perfect A-List location for their next date night.

Soft play at Spectrum, Guildford

When baby Payne is a little bigger, Cheryl will surely want to take him or her to a local soft play area for a fun day out. Specky's Pirate Ship soft play at Spectrum, Guildford isn't far from the couple's home, and has four storeys of soft play including ball pools, a trampoline, tube slide, cargo net and sky glide for hours of entertainment. Book at guildfordspectrum.co.uk.
