Have you ever wanted to swim in a sea of ice cream sprinkles or lounge on a colourful ice lolly? Well now you can, assuming you have tickets to Los Angeles' hottest pop up, that is. The rainbow-coloured and saccharine Los Angeles Museum of Ice Cream opened its doors to the public this week, and has already proved hugely popular, with thousands of visitors sharing their photos from the pop up on Instagram.

STORY: Los Angeles locations every La La Land fan needs to visit

We can see why! The museum is a feast for all the senses with scratch and sniff walls, larger-than-life gummy bears and some interesting ice cream facts from "ice cream fairy" Seth Rogen when you answer the "Ice Cream Hotline" on the retro pink phones that line the walls of the entrance. There are also ten different installations throughout the museum including a California-themed room that includes whimsical murals such as palm trees, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Venice Beach boardwalk.

The most famous and fun room of all is the sprinkle pool, which offers guests the opportunity to swim among one hundred million ice cream sprinkles so long as they follow the two all-important rules; no eating and take off your shoes. The launch follows on from the equally popular New York pop up in 2016 and has already completely sold out until June. We have our fingers crossed it will make its way across to the UK very soon!
