Pippa Middleton's wedding location: What to see in Englefield and Bucklebury

The eyes of the world will fall on two small villages in Berkshire later this month as the Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister Pippa Middleton marries her fiancé James Matthews in front of their close friends and family on 20 May. The couple have chosen to tie the knot near Pippa's hometown of Bucklebury, with a private church service at the nearby St Mark's Church in Englefield.

It is a place that holds special memories for the bride-to-be; Pippa grew up in the Berkshire village and will now celebrate her nuptials with a wedding reception at the Middleton's family home, which is surrounded by 18 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland. Visit Englefield House Gardens:

Explore the idyllic grounds of Englefield House, the private estate where St Mark's Church is located. Owned by the family of Conservative MP Richard Benyon since the 17th century, the estate features perfectly landscaped gardens complete with colourful plants and flowers, an ivy house, fountain and children's garden that can be visited throughout the year from 1 March to 31 October. Feed the animals at Bucklebury Farm Park:

Pippa's sister Kate has been a regular visitor to Bucklebury Farm Park with her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and it's the perfect location for a family day out. The park is set in a 77 acre site in the Berkshire countryside and offers nature walks, deer watching, a petting zoo and play area among other attractions. Go for a run through the Berkshire countryside

Make like fitness fanatic Pippa Middleton and go for a run through the woods at Bucklebury Common. This two-mile stretch of woods and heathland are sure to have been a much-visited spot for the bride-to-be ahead of her many challenging fitness pursuits, which have included a marathon in Kenya and climbing the Matterhorn, reaching the 14,691ft peak in August 2016.

Enjoy a drink at The Old Boot Inn:

A long-time favourite of Pippa and her family, The Old Boot Inn has received regular visits from Prince William and Kate during their trips to Bucklebury. Owner John Haley – who was invited to the royal wedding in 2011 – has previously said the couple like to sit next to the fireplace at the front of the bar. Who knows who you might spot when you go in for a drink!

Pick up some groceries at Peaches Spar store:

The Middleton family often pick up groceries at the local Peaches Spar store in Bucklebury, where Prince William is said to have popped in to buy Viennetta ice cream. You may be able to hear stories from the royal wedding too; owner Chan Shingadia and his wife Hash were among the guests at William and Kate's big day in 2011.
