STAY

Cotton House_Mr Mrs Smith

While many of the visitors to Mustique own or rent private villas, you can enjoy the island's charms at the ravishingly good-looking hotel, The Cotton House. Set amid acres of tropical, jasmine-scented gardens leading down to the beach, the light-filled suites and cottages are decked out with wickerwork furniture and enormous canopied beds, many with views over the sea. You can try and impressive line-up of watersports out on Endeavour Bay, walk the estate's fitness trail and brush up your tennis skills on one of the courts – or simply soak up the sun and relax on a teak lounger beside the beach or pool.

INDULGE

Treatments at The Cotton House Spa use luxury organic Ila products and are delivered in four rooms offering tranquil sea and garden views, or in your hotel room. Soothe sun-parched skin with a replenishing body wrap or head for the Wellness Centre for fitness and yoga sessions by the sea.

TASTE

Start the night with cocktails at the gilded bar that dominated the Great Room at The Cotton House before taking your table in the hotel's Veranda restaurant for knockout Caribbean seafood under the vaulted ceilings. Perched high above the harbour, dinner at the Firefly restaurant is a must – the emphasis is on just-caught seafood and locally grown ingredients.
