If Beyoncé, Gwyneth Paltrow and Katy Perry all made you green with envy when they shared photos from their visit to LA's Museum of Ice Cream you're in luck, as the attraction is set to extend its stay in California until October. The kitsch attraction sold out for four months within 24 hours of going on sale earlier this year, so now extra dates have been added to allow even more people the chance to join in the fun.
If you can't justify a trip to Los Angeles, don't worry; the museum may well be coming to a town near you in the future as the organisers have revealed they have plans to expand in more cities this year and next – and we have our fingers crossed that this will involve a trip across to the UK!
Beyonce and Blue Ivy visited the Museum of Ice Cream
The Museum of Ice Cream was launched by founder and creative director Maryellis Bunn in summer 2016, with a waiting list of 200,000 people when it opened in New York. And its Los Angeles outpost has been even more successful, with Kim Kardashian and Drew Barrymore joining the long list of celebrity fans.
STORY: Gwyneth Paltrow, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian join the fun at LA's Museum of Ice Cream
The museum opened to the public in April and is a feast for all the senses with scratch and sniff walls, larger-than-life gummy bears and some interesting ice cream facts from "ice cream fairy" Seth Rogen when you answer the "Ice Cream Hotline". There are also ten different installations throughout the museum including a California-themed room that includes whimsical murals such as palm trees, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Venice Beach boardwalk.
Katy Perry also paid a visit to the sold out attraction
But one of the highlights of the museum is the sprinkle pool, which is filled with one hundred million ice cream sprinkles. Katy Perry fully immersed herself in the pool during her Mother's Day outing in May, and later shared a photo with fans, writing: "Might have to go to the Dr tomorrow and have sprinkles pulled out of my ear holes. Will update you tomorrow. #museumoficecream #extra."
