ITV drama Victoria has captivated audiences since it first aired in 2016, and now with on-and-off screen couple Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes back on our screens for season two, viewers are set to be gripped once again not only by their love story, but also the beautiful scenery that features in the show.

The series was filmed in beautiful country houses and rural estates across Britain, many of which are open to visits from members of the public. We've got all the details on where they are and how you can visit to bring the gripping drama to life.

Wentworth Woodhouse, South Yorkshire

Yorkshire served as the location for many exterior scenes in the show, include a parade scene, which was filmed at Wentworth Woodhouse. This Grade I listed country house dates back to 1740 and was closed to the public for the past 25 years, but has recently opened its doors once again for public tours. From just £10 per person you can take a tour of the house, taking in some of the stunning state rooms and the on-site chapel. For more information visit wentworthwoodhouse.co.uk.

Harewood House is one of the major filming locations in Victoria, and a favourite among the cast. Speaking at a recent press conference, Jenna said the estate was a "personal favourite", while Tom added: "I just love the grounds. We shoot down where all the trees are, it's not a forest, but I like getting lost in there."

The 18th century estate sits on over 100 acres of beautiful gardens, and houses an impressive art collection, along with a bird garden and farm experience. Visit before 29 October to get a glimpse at Harewood House's special Victoria costume exhibition, which features many of the memorable outfits – including the Coronation gown – from the series. Tickets cost £16.50 for adults and £8.50 for children. Visit harewood.org to plan your trip.

The coastal town of Hartlepool, England was the location for the HMS Trafalgar scene. Daisy Goodwin, Victoria's scriptwriter and creator, said it was her favourite location to film. "Hartlepool which you see at the end of episode one," she said. "The HMS Trafalgar scene with the naming ceremony was filmed there. It's magical, how they manage to do that."

Head to the quayside for Hartlepool's Maritime experience and National Museum of the Royal Navy to see a realistic re-creation of an 18th century seaport that promises to bring the time of Nelson, Napoleon and the Battle of Trafalgar to life.
