James Franco has put his Los Angeles home on the market, and it is surprisingly affordable compared to many other celebrity properties in the area. The 27 Hours actor is selling his two-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the Silver Lake neighbourhood for $949,000 (around £704,000), according to property website Trulia.

The 39-year-old bought the property in 2012 and has transformed it into a cosy home, with numerous spacious living areas, an office where he could work on his creative projects, and an outdoor terrace that offers views of the Hollywood sign.
James' home dates back to 1923 and has a Spanish-style design, with white walls throughout and wooden flooring. It is located in the hipster Silver Lake neighbourhood, where fellow stars including Sia have previously lived. Click through the gallery to take a look inside his home…

The living room is bright and airy, with white walls and a floor-to-ceiling arched window. Wooden details run throughout the room, including chairs and a coffee table, which sit on a textured rug next to a white sofa. A cosy throw, patterned cushion and plants add the finishing touches.

There are two bedrooms in James' home, including this large suite that has a double bed and white traditional open brick fireplace. A door on the far side of the room leads out to the private terrace, where James would have been able to relax and take in the sights of the Los Angeles skyline.
