Time to get planning a trip to New York! Budget airline WOW Air is launching a new route from London's Stansted airport to New York's JFK International, and they're offering some seriously cheap tickets to celebrate, at just £99 each way. The airline says it is essentially "paying for passengers to fly", as the price of the flight is less than the tax.
However it's important to note that the flight includes a stop in Reykjavik, Iceland, and will be a fairly no-frills experience, with no meals or entertainment provided on board. Travellers will also have to pay an extra £29.99 to check in their luggage. But considering all taxes and charges are included, it's still a great way to visit the Big Apple on a budget.
WOW Air is launching £99 fares from London to New York
The route launches in April 2018, but tickets are already available to book in advance on WOW's website now, so get in fast if you want to get the lowest fares! The airline will not be disclosing the exact amount of £99 tickets available for each flight, but says "there is an allocation of the sale fares on every flight on the route and they are subject to availability or until sold out".

"We are proud to constantly be lowering fares across the Atlantic, enabling more people to fly in our brand new aircraft and to experience the world," Skúli Mogensen, CEO and Founder of WOW air, said. "Air Passenger Duty in the UK is one of the highest in the world and we would love to change this. These low fares make a statement and allow our passengers to fly affordably."

New York is not the only bucket list destination Brits can visit for less with the airline. Flights to Newark, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit and Cleveland are all available for under £130 in the promotion for travel next year.
