Angelina Jolie was mobbed by fans as she stepped out in Paris on Tuesday. The United Nations Special Envoy was joined by her six children for an outing in the French capital, where she combined work commitments with some sightseeing. The 42-year-old had an action-packed day, which included meeting French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron at the Élysée Palace to discuss several projects Angelina is involved in, such as her recent visit to the Zataari refugee camp in Jordan, as part of her work with the United Nations refugee agency.

The First Lady and Angelina were photographed saying goodbye by the Brigitte's chief of staff Tristan Bromet, who later shared the photo on his Instagram account. But it wasn't all work; Angelina also took her six children, Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 11 and nine-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, to the Louvre. The family are said to have toured the museum for two hours before returning to their hotel.

Angelina's primary reason for being in the capital was to film an advertisement for Guerlain. The actress is the face of Mon Guerlain fragrance, and visited the beauty brand's store on Champs-Elysees to film a new campaign, with hundreds of fans gathering outside in the street in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the star as she left.

The 42-year-old and her children are staying in one of the city's most prestigious hotels during their time in Paris; the five-star Le Meurice, located just metres away from the Tuileries and the Louvre. The luxurious hotel dates back to 1835 and has long been a favourite of stars visiting the city, with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Kate Moss and Justin Bieber all known to have stayed there in the past.
