Life is busy and sometimes we all need a break. And the Andaz Hotel in London's Liverpool Street has perfected exactly that with their super-indulgent, luxurious bottomless brunch in bed. Located on the edge of the city's trendy Spitalfields, and a veritable stone’s throw from Liverpool Street station, the Andaz's exterior is grand in a historical way.

A mouthwatering choice of breakfast items is on offer

But once inside the 5 star hotel, it's clear this is somewhere a bit different from other hotels. We arrived in the early evening, and as we glanced around for a check-in desk (things are much less formal here and very modern) we instantly noticed the free-flowing wine and canapés, served each night for guests, in addition to an always-open soft drink counter meaning you never run out of water or juice.

MORE: Best bottomless brunches in London

Set within the walls of one of London's original railway hotels, there is nothing old or outdated about the rooms that lie within the beautiful redbrick building. 267 guest rooms and suites have been designed with a loft-style vibe and many contain stunning artwork from local street artists. The rooms are super cool (even if it does take a while to figure out how to use the array of different mood lighting options!) and the minibar is FREE! No booze, but still. There's enough in the lounge before dinner anyway.

Beds are huge, you get a free paper in the morning and the bathrooms are stylish, functional and full of gorgeous products. And what makes the Andaz's current weekend bottomless brunch option so great is that you really have an excuse to enjoy your lavish surroundings. Usually staying in a lush hotel room is a joy, but you can’t spend too much time hanging out there because you've got to get up for breakfast and then check out at noon.

Checking into this piece of London tranquility on a Friday or Saturday night is different however. Head out in the evening, enjoy the fun of Spitalfields, the surrounding bars, restaurants, the vertiginous views afforded from Sushi Samba or just have fun shopping the deals to be had at the local markets. But when you return to your hotel and snuggle into your bed you can do so knowing you get to stay there….until 4pm the following day!

Holiday inspo from the royals

At check in you decide what time you’d like to eat your morning's brunch, and the phone calls half an hour before to take your brunch-in-bed order. Three starters come regardless, followed by your breakfast choice (full english, veggie or fluffy pancakes are our pick of the best). Plus juices, tea and coffee and a bottle (or more) of Prosecco - truly bottomless.

HOTELS: Child-friendly luxury in London

It's all wheeled up to your room on a table which is laid sumptuously with fine china and cutlery and placed at the end of your bed, so even if you do wriggle down to the table to eat, it’s not too far to return to get back under the fluffy duvet afterwards.

There are other joys to be experienced at the Andaz London Liverpool Street - a health club that’s free to use, yoga classes in the hidden masonic chapel and a spa offering in-room treatments. But while all sounded great, you’ll have to excuse us for drifting back off to sleep until the 4pm alarm bell rang. That’s what brunch-time Prosecco will do for you.

The hotel has also recently collaborated with (RED) (www.red.org) – the AIDS organisation founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to create a custom room suite personally designed by Sir Terence Conran, with 30% of each booking going directly to support (RED)’s fight to end AIDS. Doing good as well as feeling good. The perfect combination.
