We all know how it feels - work and daily grind can wear us down and become quite overwhelming at times. When this happens, a bit of rest and relaxation is just what you need! If this sounds like you; you might want to consider a visit to The May Fair Hotel, London, for a treatment from a choice of over 50 that will help to bring about your inner calm. The spa has a distinctive oriental theme - dark tones and sumptuous gold finishings greet you as you walk in. The relaxation room is a real treat - heated stone beds, tranquil music, fluffy robes and soft towels give you a chilled-out stance instantly. There's a large steam room and sauna to unwind in too and if you are feeling super energetic, an impressive, fully equipped gym is available for fitness fanatics.

The extensive treatment list is not to be missed. From Caci facials, ESPA Massages to sumptuous detox wraps, there's something for all needs. After much deliberation, we tried the Hot Stone Therapy - a blissfully hour long massage, where the therapist used stones to knead the entire body skilfully with orange infused, hot grapeseed oil. The basalt stones gently manipulate tired and knotted muscles, encouraging a totally relaxed state.

The restaurant at the hotel - the May Fair Kitchen - is the perfect treat after a day relaxing - with its delicious tapas style concept, served with great efficiency. The staff throughout the hotel were most accommodating, polite and helpful. We had the pleasure of staying in one of the gorgeous suites after our treatments. The decor was sleek, plush and modern yet still had homely, expertly comfortable furnishings and incredible views of the capital.
