Hugh Jackman made his Met Gala debut with his new girlfriend, Sutton Foster, on Monday, but their cozy display has sparked criticism from fans.
The 57-year-old and the Younger actress, 51, looked besotted as they arrived at The Metropolitan Museum of Art holding hands and gazing adoringly at each other as they posed for photos.
Hugh looked dapper in a black tuxedo, while Sutton oozed glamour in a shimmery gold gown that featured a thigh-high slit.
However, their loved-up appearance was seen as a "final blow" to Hugh's ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, who attended the glitzy event with Hugh several times following their Met Gala debut in 2004.
The Wolverine star, who last attended the event solo in 2024 following his split from Deborra-Lee in September 2023, was branded "disrespectful" by fans on social media.
"Thumbs down! It's forever team Debbie over here!!" one person remarked. A second said: "I lost big respect for him." A third added: "Poor Deborra."
There were, however, some fans on the couple's side, with others claiming it's time people "get over" his split from Deborra-Lee.
Hugh and Sutton confirmed their relationship on January 6, 2025, when they were pictured holding hands before a romantic dinner in Santa Monica, California.
The pair made their red carpet debut back in October at the Song Sung Blue premiere during AFI Fest, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre. Hugh looked dapper in a black suit and tie, paired with a white shirt, while Sutton looked elegant in a low-cut black satin dress.
The couple first hit it off on stage as they starred alongside each other in Broadway's hit revival of The Music Man from late 2021 until January 2023.
They have both spoken glowingly about their time working together, and their admiration for each other runs deep.
At the 2024 Drama Desk Awards, Sutton gushed about Hugh, calling him "one of the greatest guys ever" and "an incredible co-star."
Their relationship came after Sutton filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024, after a decade together, and Hugh split from Deborra-Lee in September 2023 after 27 years.
Hugh and Deborra-Lee, who share two children, Oscar and Ava, released a statement informing fans of their separation at the time.
The former couple penned: "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
