The Devil Wears Prada 3?

Being that the popular franchise's recent sequel was a box office success, Josh inquired about whether or not Stanley foresees a third edition of the film in the future.

Stanley joked: "In 20 years it'll be Emily and Anne coming to visit our tombstones. It's like, what's that movie? Come on. 20 years. It'll take place in a nursing home."

Josh added: "So, you'd like it to happen, but a little sooner."

Stanley hilariously commented: "Yeah, while I can still walk. It would be great. I would love it. We had such a good time. Look, those three women are just amazing, amazing, amazing actors [and] amazing people."

Stanley got candid about his career struggles

Stanley's struggles after original 2006 film

Despite the 2006 original movie premiere's global accomplishment, Stanley transparently shared that he financially struggled after it came out.

Josh asked: "When did your parents stop worrying about you [and] your career," to which Stanley candidly admitted "never."

He further explained: "Nor did I ever stop worrying about my career. You never do because a career in show business ebbs and flows and there was a lot of ebbing for a while — consistent ebbing."

The star admitted: "After the first Devil Wears Prada, I couldn't really get a job, which I know sounds weird, but it's true…I could get a job but it wasn't a job – they were less than lateral moves…I had a family, I had a mortgage, my late wife was ill, and I needed to find something that was satisfying, but also that would bring me money."

Stanley responded with comedic relief, concluding: "You have to drink your way through [ebbs]. No, you have to keep communicating with your representation."

Perks to the job

Although the entertainer's journey was full of unknowns and being in limbo regarding roles, on a lighter note, Stanley also revealed some perks that come with being an actor.

When asked if he got to keep any pieces from his fashionable on-screen wardrobe, he opened up his blazer, and announced to the crowd: "This. I did. I did. And I didn't steal it. It was actually given to me by the people of Dolce and Gabbana."

The actor hilariously recalled: "I actually met them both. Dolce and Gabbana. They're like real people. I didn't know that." He added that "they were both nice."

Stanley's non-negotiables

As for Stanley's future roles, the father-of-five and doting husband revealed that there's two non-negotiable that immediately come to mind before saying "yes" to a new project.

He explained: "I don't want night shoots and I don't want it to be too far away from my family for too long. Those are two really important things for me."

The live taping of Josh's podcast, Happy Sad Confused, featuring Stanley, will be available this week.
