Renowned for her discretion regarding her personal life, Mean Girls star Rachel McAdams recently offered a rare insight into her role as a mother.
The Notebook actress has been in a long-term relationship with Jamie Linden, with whom she shares two children—a 5-year-old son and a daughter born in late 2020.
In a recent interview with Bustle, Rachel revealed that bike rides with her children are her favorite family activity, mentioning: "All my bikes have baby seats."
Just five months after welcoming her daughter, Rachel began filming her latest movie, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret.
This meant juggling her role as the mother of an adolescent in the movie while caring for a toddler and a newborn off-screen.

She humorously recalled having to pump and breastfeed between takes, saying: "I felt like a milking machine."
Her real-life experience as a mother proved invaluable in preparing for her character, Barb, in the Judy Blume adaptation.
In an interview with People, Rachel explained: "As a mom, it's not too hard to find the messiness, the privilege of getting to watch a child grow up and be their parent.
“I think that's a really lucky place, a spot to be in, and I think Barb feels that."
Although the Game Night actress maintains her children's privacy as much as possible, she has previously spoken about the significance of motherhood in her life.
In a 2018 interview with The Sunday Times, she expressed her joy, stating: "It's the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, hands down.
“People say your life is not your own anymore, but I had 39 years of me. I was sick of me. I was so happy to put the focus on some other person. I waited a long time for motherhood."
