Tom Ford has revealed that he will be showcasing his Autumn/Winter 2015 collection next season in Los Angeles, rather than London Fashion Week. "I love London and I am not abandoning London Fashion Week," the 53-year-old designer told WWD. "It's a one time thing, it made sense for me, and I plan to be back in September."

Tom revealed that his decision to move his catwalk presentation to Los Angeles was because of a scheduling conflict with the Academy Awards ceremony in February, which will fall during the London Fashion Week show season. The designer will move his womenswear collection to LA for one season only, but will continue to show his menswear collection in London.
Talking about his decision to show in Los Angeles, the handsome Texan revealed that he was excited to head to the West Coast because of his 'deep-rooted' connection to the city. "So many visuals in our world are filtered through Los Angeles including music, television and film and in this way it influences global fashion in a profound way," he told the Independent. "
Like fashion, film is also a creative endeavour that is extremely important to me. I am excited to bring these two aspects of my life together by presenting the collection in Los Angeles."
