As excitement builds for the Victoria's Secret show on 2 December, some of the world's biggest models are faced with a tough dilemma: iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld will be hosting his highly-anticipated Chanel Métiers d’Art show in Austria on the same night. For angels Karlie Kloss and Candice Swanepoel, there was no choice – despite being firm favourites on the Chanel catwalk, their angel status means that they are contractually obliged to walk in the Victoria's Secret runway extravaganza.
Models such as Cara Delevingne face a tough choice between Victoria's Secret and Chanel
With the show taking place in London, the fashion pack turned its attention to British supermodels such as Jourdan Dunn, who has been sharing photos on Instagram of herself training for the lingerie catwalk. However, British beauty Cara Delevingne has remained notably quiet about her intentions.
Despite walking in Victoria's Secret's last two shows, the 22-year-old has also featured heavily in Chanel's catwalk shows and closed the couture and Autumn/Winter 2014 shows alongside Karl, so it could be that she has chosen to walk in his next presentation. Another model who is keeping the fashion industry guessing is 19-year-old Kendall Jenner.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star once described walking for Victoria's Secret as her 'dream modelling job', but has yet to reveal her plans.
Kendall Jenner has not yet revealed her modelling plans
The young model initially sparked speculation that she would walk for the lingerie giant after she featured in their photographer Russell James' book Angels alongside angels such as Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel. However, Kendall has also featured on various Chanel catwalks throughout the year, which has contributed her to her emerging supermodel status, so it could be that she will choose to appear in Karl Lagerfeld's infamous Austrian show instead.
