Ever since she appeared on our screens on Gossip Girl, blonde beauty Blake Lively has gained a huge following. However, in a recent interview with Gucci, for whom she is the face of their fragrance Gucci Premiere eau de Toilette, Blake revealed that she hasn't always felt confident about her looks. "Glamour is very much a state of mind," the 27-year-old revealed. "There were points early on in my life when I wanted to look like someone else, or I dressed in a way that wasn't necessarily representative of who I was."
It's been an exciting year for Blake, who launched her new lifestyle website Preserve, and announced in October that she and handsome actor husband Ryan Reynolds are expecting their first child together. "I found I was changing and growing so much," she said, speaking about her maturity. "I'm much closer to the woman I want to be now than I was five years ago." The mother-to-be has been wowing fans with her chic maternity outfits, ranging from colorful printed coats to high fashion red carpet dresses, and reveals that nowadays she has learned to stay true to her personal style.
"I learned very quickly that style and confidence has to come from within," she added. "It's what makes you feel your most graceful, elegant and empowered self. You can be glamorous in jeans and a t-shirt or you can have it dressed up in your finest. It's really about finding that woman that you want to be." The Green Lantern actress also revealed that one of her biggest secrets to feeling glamorous was to wear fragrances. "One of the very few things that I do every single day is put on fragrance," she admitted. "If I'm not wearing makeup, if my hair's not done, if I'm walking around in pyjamas - I still put my fragrance on." As the festive season kicks off, the Californian star revealed that she was looking forward to some down time.
"Christmas for me is all about spending time with my family. I cherish any chance we have to spend all day together making gingerbread houses, baking cookies, or sitting around and watching movies," she revealed. "My favorite holiday film is Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. It’s such an amazing film!" When asked what she would recommend for Christmas, Blake had one present in mind.
