Fresh from her striking appearance Im Giambattista Valli Haute Couture at the Grammys, Rihanna has once again upped the style stakes as she headed to the Zac Posen show at New York Fashion Week on Monday night.

Rihanna rocked a maroon dress at the Zac Posen show on Monday

The Barbadian beauty, 26, wowed in a deep maroon gown which featured off-the-shoulder sleeves, custom made for her by Zac himself. She teamed the elegant dress with matching sandals, and added dazzling bracelets for a touch of old Hollywood glamour as she arrived for the glitzy event at Grand Central Station. Rihanna was not the only fashionista to turn heads in a deep purple outfit. HFM cover girl Coco Rocha showed off her blossoming baby bump in a striking tailored maroon blazer, teamed with a black pencil skirt which featured a thigh-high slit. The Canadian beauty was the epitome of cool with her hair slicked back in an edgy style, and accessorising her ensemble with black ankle boots and a maroon handbag.

Katie Holmes also stepped out to support Zac at his show, looking chic in a fitted black dress which gave fans a glimpse of her enviably toned legs as she mingled with the designer and supermodel Naomi Campbell. The mother-of-one channelled 1920s glamour with her hair styled in a sleek updo with finger waves, completing the stunning look with a slick of bright red lipstick. Naomi herself showed off her style credentials in a colourful long-sleeved minidress, and later once again showcased her supermodel status as she walked in the catwalk show wearing a breathtaking shimmering maroon ball gown.

The 44-year-old wowed as she rocked the runway and closed the show accompanied by Zac, in front of a front row which included stars such as Mary J Blige and Giuliana Rancic. Naomi and Zac are good friends – the designer attended her Fashion For Relief show on Valentine's Day in New York, as part of her charity's efforts to raise money to combat Ebola. Naomi will also be kicking off London Fashion Week later this week with a Fashion For Relief catwalk show, as well as an auction to raise money to fight the deadly disease.
