Pastry chef creates cookie replicas of Oscars dresses

Ahead of this year's Oscars, a famous pastry chef from New York has created cookie replicas of famous actresses and their iconic Academy Awards gowns. Jansen Chan, a director of pastry operations at the International Culinary Center, used sugar paste and cookie dough to create the cute duplicates.Angelina Jolie's famous black Atelier Versace dress with the thigh-high split has been recreated, as well as Lupita Nyong'o's pale blue custom Prada gown.

The designs even feature the actresses' poses, signature hairstyles and jewellery.Each cookie took Jansen a staggering eight hours to design and make. He also created an edible catwalk featuring a red velvet cake runway complete with cookie audience and paparazzi.

In a video shared by the International Culinary Center, the chef's creations can be seen strutting the runway and stopping to pose. "To celebrate the fashion frenzy of the awards season, #ICCedu pastry chef-instructors recreated some of the most iconic dresses to ever grace the red carpet," they wrote on their Instagram page.
