Heavily pregnant Kate turns to old maternity wardrobe

March 11, 2015

The heavily pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, nee Kate Middleton, appears to be turning to the maternity wardrobe she sported while she was expecting Prince George to dress her baby bump.

SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEOMaking one of her last high-profile appearances before giving birth, Kate wore a dalmation-print coat from high-street store Hobbs as she attended an engagement in the seaside town of Margate. The royal had first been spotted in the £169 number in June 2013 during a cruise-naming ceremony in Southampton while eight months pregnant with Prince George.

It’s the second time in three days that the expectant royal has sported a recycled outfit. On Monday, the striking brunette joined husband Prince William and the Queen for an official engagement wearing a pale pink coat by Alexander McQueen. Fashion fans were quick to recognise the coat – it’s the same ensemble she sported in 2013 when she joined Prince William at Trooping the Colour, again when she was pregnant with Prince George.

Kate is carrying out two engagements in Margate. The day was perfectly suited to creative Kate, who is passionate about art and holds a degree in history of art from St Andrews University, the same institution where she met Prince William. Her first stop was at one of the UK's leading art galleries the Turner Contemporary. The museum had closed for the morning to welcome the Duchess on her private visit. Flashing her winning smile, Kate, 33, waved at members of the public who had waited outside the museum behind barriers, eager to catch a glimpse of the royal. Some well-wishers held up Union Jack flags, while others had their smartphones out at the ready.
