Rihanna has revealed her excitement at landing her first campaign for Dior, describing her new role as 'such a big deal for me'. The 27-year-old will star in the fourth instalment of the iconic French fashion house's Secret Garden video campaign. "It feels fantastic," she told MTV News. "It is such a big deal for me, for my culture, for a lot of young girls of any colour. I think, to be acknowledged by Dior is just, it means a lot as a woman to feel beautiful, and elegant, and timeless."

The Barbadian beauty, who is the first black woman to become a spokesperson for Dior, joins a line-up of brand ambassadors including Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron, Mila Kunis and Marion Cotillard. The Secret Garden images, shot by legendary photographer Steven Klein, takes place at the glamorous Palace of Versailles, where Rihanna is set to be walking around the palace's opulent halls and breathtaking gardens in some of creative director Raf Simons' gorgeous haute couture designs. The Palace's showstopping settings also formed the backdrop for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's pre-wedding party last year before they headed to Florence to tie the knot.

It comes as no surprise that Rihanna is starring in a campaign for Dior, as the Diamonds singer shares a close relationship with the French design house. Although this marks the first time she becomes an official brand ambassador, the FourFiveSeconds singer repeatedly wears Dior on the red carpet and even rocked a tailored suit by the brand during her performance with Kanye West and Paul McCartney at this year's Grammys. She is also a firm fixture on the Dior front row, appearing at their catwalk shows almost every season. Renowned for her fearless approach to red carpet fashion, Rihanna has already firmly established herself as a fashion icon after being named creative director of sportswear giant Puma in December.
