Kate Upton's career never seems to stop sky-rocketing. Not only is the 22-year-old one of the world's highest-paid models and a successful actress, but she is currently the face of cosmetics giant Bobbi Brown, further sealing her status as a modern day supermodel.

Kate Upton wowed as she arrived for the Vogue festival

The blonde beauty enjoyed a day out on Sunday as part of her role as brand ambassador, heading to the Vogue Festival in association with Harrods, with Bobbi herself, to join the magazine's editor Alexandra Shulman and talk all things beauty, revealing how her world-famous curves catapulted her to international superstardom.

"I mean, I didn't pay for anything, I was given it!" she quipped about her enviable figure. "I just dress for my body type, I'm not playing it up. Plus, I grew up in Florida, a bikini was what you went to the grocery store in."

Her outfit on the day was a prime example of her impeccable personal style. The American model chose a chic floral patterned yellow and black cardigan by Dolce & Gabbana, which she paired with a high-waisted plaid skirt.

However, Kate's looks and style credentials are not the only reasons she was named the most googled model of 2014 – her skills as an entrepreneur have seen her work tirelessly to build her now internationally-recognised brand.

"I see my modelling as a business," she revealed. "I try to be in control of my social media accounts and I just try to be myself in interviews. I mean, obviously I'll choose my words carefully, but you shouldn't feel pressurised to be anyone but yourself."

When it comes to staying in shape, the The Other Woman actress recently revealed that she follows a healthy diet and disciplined exercise regime with her personal trainer David Kirsch – who has worked with the likes of Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Liv Tyler.

Kate told the Evening Standard that her diet is about "being strong, having the strength work ten-hour days". A typical "good" day kicks off with "a breakfast of scrambled eggs (one white, one whole) with spinach and green tea," she said. Lunch is quinoa with herb-crusted grilled chicken and grilled vegetables, and dinner is "usually sashimi or a kale salad with grilled salmon and cashews".

She admitted she does allow herself the occasional cheat day, but that before a big shoot or film scene she undertakes a 48-hour juice cleanse.

Fully aware that she is a role model for young women, the star admitted that she is keen to promote a positive body image. "I'm happy to be seen as a good example," she said. "If I can help girls who are going through body image issues, I think that's amazing."
