Kim Kardashian often credits husband Kanye West for being behind her high fashion style, but it seems that she was initially shocked at how much he changed her look. The 34-year-old has admitted she "started crying" when the rapper first cleared out her closet with the help of his stylist.

"They put everything that he thought wasn't 'cool enough' in a pile and I walked in and it was like a pile to the ceiling of shoes," she said during an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael on Monday. "All my amazing shoes that I loved, and I started crying."
Kim also admitted she was initially reluctant to follow Kanye's advice completely.
"I was like, 'I can’t get rid of this stuff, your stylist has no idea what she’s talking about.'," she said. "So I put it all in another room, and I was like, 'I'll trust your opinion, but I'm not getting rid of my stuff. Let me see what you're really talking about.'"

However, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star revealed that after the initial shock, Kanye had yet another surprise for her.

"Then I walk into my room, and there's an entire room filled with all new clothes," she said. "All the stuff he wanted to fill back up my closet with. It was, like, really cool new designer stuff — I hadn’t even heard of some of these designers before.
"And it really helped me fall in love with fashion. I eventually did get rid of most of that stuff, and my style has evolved and changed. But I couldn't see it at that time."
No doubt Kanye helped to put Kim on the map in the fashion world, updating her wardrobe with major designer labels – since then the couple have been dominating the industry, sitting front row at shows such as Givenchy and even starring together in a campaign for Balmain.
It's been a particularly exciting week for the pair, who are celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Kim celebrated the occasion by sharing behind-the-scenes snaps taken at their pre-wedding celebrations. "I love this man so much! Happy Anniversary baby!" she captioned one of the images. She also shared a photo of the couple enjoying a carriage ride around the Palace of Versailles. "Fairytale," she wrote next to a photo of the couple kissing.
