The quirky image sees Miss Asia ready for her close-up wearing a dazzling statement collar, posing next to a model in a cream cable knit sweater and a purple leather tote bag from the brand's new collection.

The news first broke on Instagram, with the unusual photo appearing on an account created for the pampered pooch. Proud owner Lady Gaga also posted the snap for her 8.2 million followers on the social media app.

"I am so proud to announce that @missasiakinney is the face and star of COACH this season!" she wrote. "Shot by Steven Meisel for the "Coach Pups" Campaign!"

Making her debut in front of the camera for none other than renowned photographer Steven Meisel, Miss Asia is the first pooch to feature as part of the brand's 'Coach Pup' series for their Autumn/Winter 2015 collection.

"I am so proud of Miss Asia! She's a natural in front of the camera, and we're both so excited that the iconic Steven Meisel shot her for Coach's pup campaign," read a statement from Lady Gaga.

"I've never had so much fun on a shoot," added Coach's creative director Stuart Vevers. "The combination of Mr. Meisel and the pups was an extraordinary, surreal, special moment."

This is not Miss Asia's first foray into the world of fashion – the stylish canine is also set to inspire a new range of pet accessories by her superstar owner. The line will reflect "the theatrical creativity of Gaga and her French bulldog, Miss Asia Kinney" reported Billboard.

While the release date has yet to be confirmed, the singer's manager also told the publication that the range has been in the works in recent months and that proceeds from sales will benefit "locally-based organisations that do great work with real pets".
